RECOVERY OF FINES
CAB has gained a vast amount of experience thanks to the large number of hydrocyclones it has developed, manufactured and installed and in the last 15 years it has become a specialist in separation, dewatering, desanding, intense desludging, sand washing, recovering fines and correcting grains in the concrete, asphalt, silica sand and rocks industry.
In the processing of sand, recent years have seen the need for a considerable increase in technical standards in order to meet the current requirements of gravel pit operators.
Systems for the efficient recovery of fines became much more important in the past because many seams show too little or too many fractions and so the existing sand processing equipment (bucket dehydrator, sand trap, spiral dehydrator, rake mechanism, …) is no longer able in many cases to guarantee the sufficient quality of these products.
Desludging, correcting grain curves, getting rid of settling ponds and wastewater treatment (chamber filter press, flocculant consumption, …) are increasingly becoming a topic that can be efficiently and cost-effectively solved only by using hydrocyclones.
- Optimizing existing sand processing equipment (bucket dehydrator, sand trap, spiral dehydrator, rake mechanism, …)
- Desludging, grain sizing and dewatering 0-4 mm (0-2 mm, 0-1 mm)
- Getting rid of settling ponds, waste water treatment (chamber filter press, flocculant consumption, …)
- Additional cleaning of contaminated material by centrifugal pump action
